About your Guide
David Ross has been visiting and conducting tours of The Somme since 1997. He has an extensive interest in military history and in particular, The First World War. He has published research on those killed in The First World War and named on Ash and Westmarsh village war memorials. He has guided a film production crew to The Somme, to film part of the recently televised channel four documentary on the life of Lord Reith, narrated by Greg Dyke, former Director General of The BBC.
